A Letter to the Manassas Community

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Families,

Thank you for visiting my campaign website and for taking the time to learn more about me and my vision for Manassas City Public Schools.

I'm Marcus Still, and I'm running for the Manassas City School Board because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, every teacher deserves the support to do their best work, and every family deserves to have a voice in the future of our schools.

Throughout my career, I've spent nearly 20 years leading large technology and modernization programs in support of our nation's government. As a Program Manager, I've been entrusted with overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets, leading diverse teams, solving complex challenges, and ensuring public resources are managed responsibly and transparently. Those experiences have prepared me to make thoughtful decisions, build consensus, and provide responsible oversight for our school system.

Education has always been a driving force in my life. Earning degrees in Mathematics, Computer Engineering Technology, and Software Engineering taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and lifelong learning. Those opportunities shaped my future, and I want every child in Manassas to have the same chance to discover their potential and achieve their goals.

I'm running because I believe our schools are strongest when we work together. Parents, teachers, students, staff, and community members all bring valuable perspectives, and I believe the School Board should listen first, communicate openly, and make decisions that always put students at the center.

If elected, I will focus on improving student outcomes, supporting and retaining outstanding teachers, strengthening partnerships with families, ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and helping prepare every student for success in college, careers, and life.

Serving on the School Board isn't about politics—it's about service. It's about creating opportunities for every child and helping build a stronger future for our community.

I would be honored to earn your trust, your support, and your vote. Together, we can continue building schools that our students, families, educators, and community are proud of.
